Ashly Van Earl attended Southern University Law Center where he graduated cum laude. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he studied Political Science. He attended Elizabeth High School and now resides in Plaquemine, Louisiana. His practice has focused on providing Louisiana businesses with legal advice that assist them to be more profitable. He daily provides employment advice to both small and large employers and has drafted numerous employment agreements and covenants not to compete. His goal is to be a valuable tool for each and everyone of his clients, assisting them through the maze that is Louisiana's complex Legal System. He operated Earl Law Firm from 2004 to 2017 assisting clients with claims ranging from personal injury, family law, and business litigation and is now a partner at Earl & Messer. Ashly Earl has three children - Ashton Van Earl, Emma Cate Earl, and Hudson Carr Earl. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and is an avid outdoorsman.
Rusty Messer attended Southern University Law Center where he graduated cum laude and participated in both Law Review and Moot Court. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and he owned and operated a local office equipment company for five years before returning to law school. He is also a graduate of St. Amant High. Raised in Prairieville, Rusty has lived in Ascension Parish and in the Baton Rouge area for most of his life. Rusty is admitted to practice in all Louisiana and Texas state courts, all Louisiana federal courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. While earning his undergraduate degree he served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from which he was honorably discharged. He previously served four years as an assistant public defender in the 23rd Judicial District for the Parish of Ascension and regularly works with the office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Louisiana. He is married to Lynn Grace Messer and the father of twins, Jonah and Sophia, and their little sister Julia.
